Kingdom History
Age 32: Blackbeard (later AddictedtoPower) joined this kingdom.
Age 33: (Island 29:33)
Our kingdom theme was Pirates, but that was mostly an excuse for having a cool eye patch and using a bad language.
Highlights of the age:
* Early in the age, we got into a conflict with 7:26. (#7 on the top charts!). We didn't win, but neither did they. Our Monarch, BLACKBEARD (Later AddictedtoPower) just never gave up. He made all the other super kingdoms laugh at 7:26.
* We declared war on a kingdom much bigger than us and lost badly. This resultant in big internal conflicts and several key provinces defection.
* We managed to win a war against a kingdom bigger than us.
* During the age, we lost 2 wars and won 2 wars.
* The whole age was filled with internal conflicts. When the age ended, BLACKBEARD was the only province left who had the Pirate theme name. All other had defected or vanished.
Age 34: Utopian Addicts (26:33)
Even if we had a lot of conflicts in age 33, our top 15 provinces stayed in our kingdom. This age our theme is Addictedto ... something .... your addiction is up to you of course.
We had quite a good team with very skilled players. Unfortunately, our kingdom was still a big mess. People did not communicate and there was a lot of conflicts.
Our Monarch, AddictedtoPower was not as active as last age. Several people did not agree with his leadership. Rather than having more people defect, we decided to change monarch. When "AddictedtoPower" noticed what had happened, he left the game and has never been seen since.
Here are some highlights from that age:
* Crimson (Waylander) was temporary monarch while AddictedtoPower was on "vacation". Crimson managed to get us a war win even if the war itself was quite even.
* Our orginal King, AddictedToPower, came back and we lost a war really bad. We (he) refused to surrender, but after losing pretty much all our acres and no one had any offense left, we had no choice other than surrender. This did not make AddictedtoPower popular.
* AlbinobyKnight stepped forward and without violence or insults, he convinced the kingdom we needed to change monarch. Even it the power was taken in a very friendly way, our old monarch got really upset and left. AddictedtoPower earns a lot of respect, but what happened was the best for the kingdom.
* We end this age by winning some wars and most internal conflicts has stopped.
Age 35: I am (17:38)
Our theme this age is "Iam". The idea was to confuse our enemies which perhaps made them retaliate against the wrong person. We also wanted our kingdom page to look cool.
Here are some highlights from that age:
* Crimson vanished for a very long time, but he finally came back.
* Our T/M guild was extremely powerful this age. IamJackNicholson, Nariona, IamLaos and IamOutofTime was extremely successful.
* IamOutofTime joined us this age. He claimed to be a top player, but all he did the first weeks was complaining like crazy. However, it turned out that he sure was a skilled player. Unfortunately, he did not get along with us and he decided to delete all the threads on the forum and quit.
* Nirona joined us later during the age. She went out of protection just before we entered a war. When the war was finished, she was already ranked Lord! However, she got upset that we kept losing wars and left us later during the age.
* AlbinobyKnight (called IamKnightmare that age) was one of the most powerful undead provinces for most part of the age.
* Dyslexic Wizards (IamFercius that age) made a 911 acres grab.
* We started this age quite good. We had mutual peace against one kingdom, won against next.
* We were a Top 50 kingdom on the world! Unfortunately, this was really bad for us. We entered a war against a kingdom bigger than us that had just lost a war. They were normally a top 30 kingdom. We lost badly and it affected the kingdom's morale.
* We recovered by exploring and we were almost a top 50 kingdom again. Once again, we had to fight a kingdom much more organized than ours. We lost again and our morale got even worse.
* Crimson who was basically gone came back to us and made our morale boost again for awhile.
* We ended the age with 2 war wins, even if the last win wasn't put on paper because the age ended and our enemies did not wish to surrender.
Age 36: Leftovers (5:40)
Our kingdom theme this age was anti-cool, or as it later became "Institute of leftovers".
AlbinobyKnight (Now NazgulFlowerPowered) became our monarch once again. However, he had to go on vacation twice during the age and I (Dyslextic Wizards) became the monarch for most part of the age.
Here are some highlights from that age:
* Dyslexic Wizards became monarch while AlbinoByKnight was on vacation.
* Dyslexic Wizard lost his first war, but it was a close loss and our enemies gave us a lot of credit for being honorable opponents.
* This age was played over the summer and we had big problems with provinces on vacation, and people were inactive for weeks. We still managed to win 2 wars. The second victory was pretty funny. The war was really close, but we had 6 inactive province and I knew we wouldn't be able to break our enemies and push for a victory. However, our enemies suddenly surrenders, and their excuse was "We have 6 provinces leaving on vacation". I never told them we had 6 inactives during the whole war. Still, it was nice that we could win a war with 6 inactive provinces against a fully active kingdom.
* AlbinoByKnight became monarch again and made us win our last 4th war very easily. Most provinces were active and we pretty much crushed our enemies. We were about to bring down a province almost twice the size of our biggest provinces, but they surrendered before we could complete it.
* Our T/M guild should be remembered this age as well. For example, FreakShadow made some provinces so upset that they made suicide attacks on her. She was the main reason why we won one of our wars. One province suicided on her and we made him lose 80% of his acres in 10 hours.
* We lost many old players.
Projectile Leprosy (His 5th age with us)
Sammich (4th age with us)
StinkyOrcs (4th age with us)
Cowardly Orcs (3rd age with us)
The Handless Rogue (3rd age with us)
* We gained several great players. Doriath and Dwarfsland joined us early and became very successful.
Age 37: The Ecology Freaks (11:4)
That age felt very long and a lot of things happened. All players from last age stayed, and we were close to 100% active. We wanted to stay small but because of our activity, our NW got extremly high. We reached top 50 early and had many powerful provinces. Since no one dared to attack us, we simple grew bigger and bigger.
Our first war was laughable. We told our enemies we declared war on them no matter if they retaliated or not. They took the bait and it was just barely they attacked us enough to start the war. They only made a handful attacks on us during the whole war and it was a complete victory.
This made us even bigger, and now things got very difficult. We were suddenly a top 30 kingdom. We were even a top 10 kingdom for a few days (7 in NW I think). Because of our great size, very few people attacked us and we tried to stay in growth while pumping science for 2 weeks. It later turned out very bad, as most people lost activity, and the real SKds started to honor-rape us terrible. I had millions of science and got raped down to 20k science points.
Some highlights:
* We won our first war extremly easy. Barely no attacks came from our enemies.
* Ken became our monarch, he had plenty of energy, good skill, but was slightly rough towards people.
* Our old friend Mafioso quit playing without making a sound.
* Sherlia!
* We won our second war against a skilled kingdom.
* Nazgul was gone for 2 weeks and we decided to sciencepump like crazy.
* Ken decides to leave us. Kernow who was young, but very active became new monarch.
* We lost our third war terrible. Some provinces, myself included ended the war with 500 acres, no buildings, no army and no science. Our new monarch Kernow started the war great, but then went quiet.
* We changed monarch to Landers and Kernow left our kingdom.
* We had a very long war against a stronger kingdom. With less power, worse tactics and not as good activity, we managed to get a mutual peace, but we were pretty nice when accepting MP, as we were crushing them one by one the last 2 days. We "won" because of our never ending fighting spirit. I think we should count it as a victory.
* We lost these provinces:
- Windpowered (Khany)
- Save the Forest (Mafioso)
- Nuclear is not Green (Cylon)
- IWashInRivers (Kernow)
- INvrBathAtAll (Ken)
- Nature Calls (Answers)
Age 38: The Ecology Freaks(25:20)
We kept out Theme. We had a strict no exploring policy this age which turned out both good and bad. Our first war was over before we noticed it started. Our well prepared small provinces crushed the enemy explorers.
We won 4 easy wars this age. We had one final war which we lost, but we would probably not go to war against such kingdom if it wasn't so close to the end and we wanted to have some fun.
Our kingdom took a closer step to being a strict kingdom which results in better teamwork, but also less controll of your own province. Getting told how to grow, who to hit, when to hit was to much for DarkRune who left us this age.
We had a lot of different monarchs this age. Sheeta joined us this age and became Queen in record time.
We gained several good provinces this age.
An interesting thing is that even if we played better than ever, with better and more active players than before, we did not reach the top charts in any way. Nazgul reached high honor for being an Orc, but that's about it. Noteable was that Nimech reached a really high honor. I'm not sure if he reached Prince or not.
Age 39: BAD HABITS (17:19)
Our theme this age was to keep our nicknames and add a bad habit to it.
The great news was that everyone stayed in our kingdom from age 38. None left!
The age will be remembered differently depending how long you have been in the kingdom. We had a restricted growth policy, but even if we removed the policy later on, no one really grew. We won two early wars without much struggle. Then things got worse. Our kingdom was perfectly balanced and no one saw any gains in attacking us. Our attempts waving other kingdoms failed. Most people were inactive because of vacation. Especially our old players let us down badly. Nazgul on vacation, Landers not as active as normal, Fercius barely aware of what was said on the forum, Doriath leaving us, Varalys reached a size where most people were OOP, Morgoth left. The list of old players that weren't doing their best was long. We were all waiting for war, but did very little to get our kingdom into one. In a brave attempt, we fought a stronger kingdom and lost big. The age was partly over for our kingdom after that. Forum got quiet, few serious waving attempts and very few random attacks even if we were allowed to grow.
The worst news this age was probably that Doriath left us. Great guy, funny, diplomatic, skilled and more active than most even when he was as least active.
I am sorry I can't say many happy things about this age. I (Fercius) blame myself for not trying harder and being part of making the kingdom dull. I also hope I can change that the next age.
Age 40: Nazgul Legancy (4:24)
We had no theme. We just kept our nicknames mostly.
Last age (Age 39) started great and ended terrible. This age started terrible, but ended great. The terrible thing was that we had very few provinces staying from last age. Even if I was the only person who wanted to be monarch, it took a long time before I had enough votes. At one point, it looked like we lost half the kingdom from last age. I was almost ready to quit myself if I didn't notice Landers and Hesistate was still around. Just before age started, several other oldiers showed up and instead of terrible, it was just very bad situation. Nazgul created an account so he could say goodbye to us. We lost 10 players during age 39 which was a bad record for this kingdom!
However, things weren't as bad as they could be. We gained several great provinces early this age. All players that joined us stayed! We slowly grew and became a kingdom with 25 provinces that stayed all age.
Some highlights:
* We had 5 wars. 3 wins, 1 MP and 1 Loss. The MP was in theory a victory
* We started to use a new system to count war points. We collected 23 points this age.
* We only had to send 2 CF during the whole age!
* 12 kingdoms sent us CF because we were waving them.
* We had a free growth policy and biggest of us all were Freedom Province
* RobertDeNiro got deleted, but managed to rejoin us again after talking with the game masters.
* We only managed to lure one kingdom into war. All other wars where kingdoms waving us, and we accepting.
* Our last two wars were won during minimum time while we were crushing our enemies in all areas.
* Fercius was monarch and Lander's did an amazing job as the second in command during wars. We always had someone active (Mostly Landers)
* We were a top 50 kingdom in both land and NW this age.
Age 41: Legacy of Doriath (16:8)
We kept our province names from last age, and continued the "Legacy" theme. This time to honor our old friend Doriath.
We had 6 wars: 1 MP, 1 Loss, 4 Wins
Fercius started as monarch and had two wars (1MP and 1 Win). Landers then took over and had one war (1 Win). Landers were then too busy to be monarch, and we begged Pandur to be monarch for awhile. He accepted, but got very unfortunate when we ended up in a war against 4:26 who was a very skilled kingdom.
Flamzart became monarch after that. He finished the age by giving us two war wins, both very well organized. We however changed the way we played, and counting war points this age is not fair. We gathered 8 points in total, but that's mostly because Flamzart were avoiding wars by sending CF after a few enemy attacks. A new way to calculate points will be used next age.
The highlights of this age:
* We had 6 wars, 4 wins, 1 MP, 1 Loss
* Flamzart joined us
Age 42: Legacy (9:35)
Most of us kept our provinces names. We put the word Legacy in our names as a theme this age. We ended the age before without really deciding what our goal for this age should be. The few people who voted actually wanted growth, but since we also wanted wars and to keep Flamzart as monarch, we decided to have a strict growth this age. We started the age with a fast war. We met a kingdom pretty well prepared, but we were better and we won. They actually wanted to war us later on that age, and then we beat them even more. We even headhunted one of their best players and made him join us (Nasdaqs).
This age, we faced many great kingdoms and we won 4 wars and lost 2 wars. Our two losses were against Skds, or very close to it. The first loss was a close one. We decided to pull out before we starte to lose for real. The second war, we gave up too early and had no strategy for the whole war, but we still did pretty OK and actually gained some acres as we surrendered (note: they were probably after our honor which they took).
We waved hard this age and made a lot of kingdoms send us CF. Our war score became 33 points. That is record. No other records were reached however even if it felt like we were a better kingdom than ever.
Other things that happened:
* RobertDeNiro got asked to leave us since he was most likely a multi who kept helping other kingdoms collecting intel, and he did not stop even after warnings. He also failed us in a couple of wars. He is missed but we couldn't accept his way any longer.
* Seth decided to take a break after 10 ages in our kingdom
* Wonderworld decided to leave after not feeling comfortable. He have been each age for 7 ages, but this time no one talked him into staying and he left. Even if he was uncomfortable, he will still be missed as a friend.
* Freedom played all age, but did not stay as he joined a Skd for the next age. Good luck Freedom! You were a great player indeed.
* Smexy got a back-injury, got a small mental breakdown, went missing for a few days but the last thing he will do is stop playing Utopia. He is pretty much back in normal condition again, as long as no one feed him after 12.
Age 43: Legacy (18:4)
Flamzart was monarch this age. Our kingdom was more active and stronger than ever when the age started. During the age, we had great people leaving us, but also a few rejoining us again.
Both Sheeta and Landers left us this age. Landers told us he would come back but it was really sad to see him leave. Luckily for the kingdom, both Kernow and Doriath made come backs!
We had 4 war wins of 6 wars this age. We never finished our last war, but we were actually losing that one.
One more thing that could be noticed about this age is that we headhunted (drafted) two provinces from an enemy kingdom. (Capricane and Ophiuchus)
Age 44: Legacy (5:31)
This age started with really high ambitions. Most people stayed from last age and Flamzart was our monarch again. We had a no exploring policy. However, quite early, some key provinces decided to leave us. Our high ambitions remained and with a reduced number of provinces, we fought an early war against a kingdom that looked weaker on the paper, but they turned out to be the remains of the Brutes. We refused to surrender, but we finally had no choice. Our damaged kingdom had some provinces close to death and some had to reset. We accepted defeat and moved on. Flamzart pulled our kingdom together and found us a second war. Both kingdoms fought on really well, but once again, we faced a kingdom that was very skilled. Since both kingdom were small in acres, most attacks were raze attacks. It became a competition who could raze fastest. We did not surrender in time and half the kingdom died or were under 200 acres in size. Things looked very dark. Flamzart announced he would quit playing and pay attention to his studies. At the same time, Chidi, Warcat and Doriath announced they were going to leave us. We were a sinking ship. Half the kingdom was destroyed and without Flamzart's leadership, our kingdom wouldn't last long with it's current strategy.
I decided to take the monarchy again. I did not want the kingdom to be without monarch and have people leave.
With the help of several people, I convinced Chidi, Doriath and Warcat to stay. We won the following war against a much easier enemy and people gained back their lost morale. Then the game went crazy and people couldn't log on. We had a 4th war which we also won comfortable. They were less provinces and 1m NW smaller than us.
Important things that happened this age:
* We had 4 wars and won 2 of them
* We lost against 2 really skilled kingdoms in very dirty wars where we razed eachother to death.
* We lost many good players this age...
- Flamzart: Left to concentrate on his studies, will come back to us one day!
- Doriath: Had computer problem and then just vanished. Not sure what happened to him.
- Warcat: Joined a better kingdom, but only temporary. We hope he come back to us soon again.
- Sora Aoi, Cracker barrel, Nasdaqs and Axia also left this age.
* We gained many good players too. Andre, Waffles, Emeraude, Forrenzenia joined us this age.
* Our first victory was against a weaker kingdom who had one really big gnome who refused to surrender even after we crushed the rest of his kingdom. We caught up and he surrendered before we could actually hit him.
* Our second victory was against a much weaker (but skilled) kingdom. They had two provinces we couldn't hit, but they also surrendered after they noticed we would catch up and hit them.
* The server went crazy the last weeks of the age. Some people couldn't log in at all.
Age 45: Legacy VI (10:3)
To understand how this age started, it's important to remember what happened in the end of last age. The game was frozen the last week of the age 44 where no one could log on at all. The game basically died. The next age started with a completely new design which many people hated. They did not feel it was the same game any longer, but worse, the game was still extremely slow. When looking around, all you could see were kingdoms with 5-14 provinces. Our kingdom were lucky. We had 16 provinces. The game finally started and ran for maybe an hour before it crashed. I don't know for how long the game was down, but it felt like a long time (2 weeks I think).
When the game was finally back online, most kingdoms had 20 provinces, but they were all filled with scripted provinces. We had a few as well.
If the game itself was not bad enough, even UtopiaPimp was down. The new "Codingforcharity" was not working and it's owner was on vacation.
I (Fercius) started the age as Monarch. The only thing I could do was to keep the kingdom together, but unfortunately, a few provinces hated the new design and the recent problems. Both Disco Stu and Chidi left us early in the game. Still, we were way more successful than the average kingdom out there. While we were growing in strength, other kingdoms had to recruit their old members.
In our first wars, UtopiaPimp was not working, and our kingdom did not seem active at all. However, the same day the war started, everyone woke up just like normal and we did a great war against a great kingdom. It was an even war. We wanted to avoid dragons, but they didn't. They regretted that decision later. We managed to send our dragon before theirs, and we slay their dragon in almost no time. We also managed to send them a second dragon which never got killed. They were never able to send their second dragon on us. The war went on for several days, but because of hard work, good team work and the dragons that we sent, we won against a much bigger kingdom!
Our second war was very similar. A much bigger kingdom waved us and we accepted. They started a dragon, but we replied and finished ours before theirs. We once again had a long war which we won. Our average enemy size were now at 117% of ours. Christmas came, and I took a break from the monarchy. Kernow took over the monarchy and found us a good war very quickly. This time, we used dragon right away as our own tactic and we could easily win against a 3rd bigger enemy. Kernow turned out to be a most excellent monarch, but he was unfortunately not able to continue monarchy for the rest of the age. He gave the job back to me (Fercius). I found us a 4th war that we won somewhat easily. Once again, with a superior dragon tactic and a good team work. We ended the age with a 5th war, but that war was quite silly. Our enemies were the first kingdom actually smaller than us, and they had only had 1 war which they lost during the whole age. Their kingdom was sleepy. Our kingdom was really eager to have a 5th war and we all hit them really hard right after the war started. We sent our first dragon 1h after it was created and we crushed their two provinces right away. It broke their kingdom. They made a few retaliation attacks, but they basically gave up. Their monarch left and the rest barely logged in for the rest of the age. We went from 6m to 7,5m NW in a week. They went from 5.5m NW to under 3m NW. It was not a war, it was a massacre.
The fact the game was slow, the game was down for 2-4 weeks in total, UtopiaPimp didn't work was almost perfect for a kingdom like ours. Where other kingdoms were handicapped and people left, we allowed our provinces to do free attacking, thinking for them self, work together to slay/donate dragons, post all ops and intel on the forum. I don't think our enemies did the same. That is the main reason we won our first wars against much bigger kingdoms. I'm impressed how people helped out to slay dragons so quickly. This was probably my least active age as monarch, but still most successful. If built right, no extra job is needed. :-)
Important things that happened this age:
* We had 5 wars this age, won them all. 3 of the wars were against much bigger kingdoms
* Fercius was monarch most of the age. Won 4 wars
* Kernow was monarch for a few weeks and won 1 war
* We gained USS Enterprise from our 4th war. He was our enemy's best province.
* Landers came back this age.
* Disco stu left without saying a word.
* Chidi left without saying much either
* RAWRTASTIC joined us, a memeber of Kernows old kingdom.
* Fangaard joined us.
* Kingdomless joined us.
Age 46: Legacy (8:35)
We had 4 wars this age and won 3 of them.
Kernow started as Monarch. We started as normal and Kernow found us a war which we won.
Then Kernow hurt his hand and couldn't continue as Monarch. But luckily, we had gained back Flamzart again. He played a T/M this age which is a bit suprising. He gave us new activity, but also reintroduced a more strict growth policy. We needed a war because things were getting dull with only big kingdoms attacking us for science. We ended up in a very difficult war which we lost. We weren't bad, they were just better.
We had a 3rd war which we won. But then things started to look bad. Flamzart tried hard to find us a war target, but we couldn't make any enemy kingdom to war us. Instead, there were 1-2 kingdoms who constantly attacked us for weeks. We tried to get rid of them, but they came back after a week and took even more science from us. Our morale sunk and the forum went rather quiet. People still logged in, but the game felt dull for many of us.
We finally found a new war, but this time, it was against an equally strong kingdom. We were looking foward to have a war again and the first days of the war went very good. We lowered their NW while ours didn't go down, but then the war turned around. Both I and Smexy went inactive. I was going on a small business trip, but couldn't log on as much as I wanted tom the hotel. Then all flights home got canceled because of the volcano on Island. I had to enter vacation mode. The war went on. When I finally came back, 5 days later, the war was still active! However, they were not able to attack all of us and several provinces had been growing a lot during the war. They were winning the middle section, but we got the upper hand. Our big guys catched up with their biggest provinces, and just as we were about to cause them real damage, they surrendered.
We had some luck as well. They had one or two good provinces leaving them during the war. I don't remember how long the war went on for. But I think most people made more attacks in this war than they had done during the entire game.
After the war, we decided no to war again. There would have been time, but I don't think enough people were interested after that long war. However, they prolonged the age and the waiting for the age to end felt like a very long time. The forum went quiet and it felt like people weren't paying attention anylonger. However, everyone stayed with us for the next age.
* Hakkur played with us during this age.
* Flamzart re-joined us.
* Dwarves artisans or sages were über this age with their BE bonus and good economy.
* The game started to feel empty as there were few kingdoms to war.
Age 47: Legacy (6:32)
Flamzart started this age as Monarch. Most people decided to stay and we were active and strong.
We decided to do no exploring at all, instead we should attack OOP and only grow by attacking. Our policy was also to keep attacking at least once every day. If we were not at war, then we should plunder or learn attack enemies and keep up the activity.
We had an early war against a kingdom that were too good for us. They were able to attack more often, and had better strategy than us. Flamzart was excellent, but we did not have what it took to beat the enemies. We surrendered fairly quickly to move on.
Shortly after, we had our second war. It was also against a well organized and really active kingdom. The war was more even, and we would have a small chance of victory if we kept fighting. However, we would need to fight for over a week to turn the war around, and the question is how much victory it would be if a few provinces were really big, and the rest close to resetting. Flamzart did the right thing to surrender that war as well and let us move on to a new war.
We looked hard for a 3rd war. We waved many kingdoms and we still had good activity even if the morale was a bit down after 2 war losses.
No war was to be found, and then summer arrived. People left on vacation one by one, and with many people gone, we couldn't find any kingdoms to war at all. I was on vacation for over 3 weeks myself. When I left, we were getting more and more inactive. When I came back, over 6 people had left the kingdom! It was not because of our kingdom. It was because the game had turned dull. There were too few kingdoms to war. To many inactives who were on vacation, and they found better things to do than play Utopia.
Even when I came back, I noticed people continued to quit playing utopia. It was not only our kingdom. It happened everywhere. I thought we would be a real ghetto by looking at our number of provinces and size, but somehow, we were still a midsize kingdom. It's pretty sad to see what happened to the game.
Flamzart also gave up the game. Our kingdom was now in big problem. He was the only guy left who wanted to be monarch.
The only activity left came from people that asked how many would continue to play next age. Our kingdom also needed a new monarch, and everyone said no.
I was thinking about quiting the game myself. However, I feel the game is probably going to close down by itself pretty soon. I've played this game for so long and I feel I want to watch the end, no matter how bad the end might be. This is also the kingdom I want to be in when the game ends. Even if a lot of my old friends has left the game, I still feel this is my kingdom. I wouldn't feel like home in any other kingdom. To prevent the kingdom from dying, I asked to be the monarch once again.
We had a new roll call to see how many people were going to stay, and for once, things started to look good again. Everyone who was still playing in our kingdom decided to keep playing. We even got back new players that left us earlier.
Age 48: Legacy of Pandur (3:26)
This age we did the co-manarchy thing, Fercius did half an age, Mac (USS Enterprise) did the last 6 weeks of the age.
In total we warred 5 times and won 3, it should have been 6 wars, cuz after one week OOP we tried to war 2:24, it was an arranged war, but they backed out at the last minute.
We were still a kingdom of about 20 players, so we tried to stay away of kd with 25 players. Our first war win was against a ghetto kd (1:7), it was a wile back that we won a war, we where all a bit rusty, but we won this war so morale went up.
Our second war against 4:35, was much better, we had better activity, and many players that didn't fought well in our first war, now stepped up and did their part.
We went in for max gains at first, after we figured out who where the active provinces, we tried to chain them, however not many would follow orders and chain targets still survived after our wave (you couldn't call it a wave).
Again we improved and gained a lot of honor, but we had to work on chaining and we agreed on sending a dragon next war. During this age, we gained back an experienced (loved and hated) player, Smexy (metho) again joined us.
Third war i (Mac) took over, and im sorry to say weve lost this war (5:21). All but a few did their part in this war. It was bound to happen that we ran into a kd that was more active then us. Perhaps i should apologise for me selecting 5:21 as our latest war target, if i would have known, i wouldnt have selected them!
We need to take lessons from this war, rebuild and move on. The numbers prove my above statement, we were more active then the previous wars, but they were simply more active then us, so what else could we do then to surrender.
war 1:7 - 60 hours - 79 attacks - 5162 acres
war 4:35 - 59 hours - 85 attacks - 9241 acres
war 5:21 - 54 hours - 106 attacks - 9547 acres
We fought hard this war, but they where way too active for us, doing double or even quadruple hits on us.
Capricane (Lance) and OMG (Oliver) attacked almost every 8-10 hours, insane activity! In our War Forum we discussed strat with 5:21, we learned that although we chained the orcs we didn't destroy their offensive ability.
Also when becoming that active (106 attacks/54 hours), we need to make use of Guard stations, or chances are that more active players will get chained themselves.
Fourth war (6:17) we also lost, i think we lost it in the first 24 hours of the war. Not selecting what dragon to send, and financing it fast enough, gave 6:17 the war win. We tried to finance our dragon too, but it took us way too long, cause 6:17 kept stealing our resources. Activity again was great, again we didn't lose because of inactivity, we lost because i dropped the ball in the first 24 hours.
Maybe harsh to say something like that about myself, but it was the truth. We also made the same mistake of chaining the orcs, we chained them below 400 acres, but their offensive abilities kept them going with higher gains then us.
Lessons learned, the only wat to chain an orc is to let him grow big while t/m target his economy and buildings, then when hes 800 acres bigger then you, chain him down into the ground with high gains and minimal offense needed, you can triple tap him. While letting the orcs grow, you can focus your attention on other (not orc) active players and get decend gains.
Fifth war against 9:24, was one for the record books, we've won big time, but because it was almost the end of the age, they wouldn't surrender. So it was our longest war (10 days).
We where looking for one last war, and we wanted to win the last war of the age, so that we might end this age positively. I was sending pm's everywhere, and finally the queen of 9:24 responded.
She said that war in a couple of days was ok and that she got back to me, so i waited and waited and waited.... Nothing happend, and a few pm later, i got tired of waiting and we waved them, instead of waiting for them to wave us. Their queen was furious, so after a very long hostile period, they declared war on us.
Some of their kd where very active, Yiolo and Pototoe Potato where playing army in army out.
We tried to use the right strategy this time to chain those orcs, and although yiolo kept attacking he was having a very hard time. We gained over 6000 acres this war, activity again was great, at the end of the age i came up with a plan to finally get rid of their most active players.
I recruited them into our kingdom, a bit sneaky maybe, but its also dishonorable to not surrender after you've been beaten big time.
During this age we gained alot of old and new players, we are proud to have them:
Flamzart, smexy, BenevOlence, high clerist tower, bite fight, kernow, yiolo and potatoe potato (Forgive me if I have forgotten someone)
Age 49: Legacy of Pandur (5:3)
In memories of Pundur, we named the age after him. Going into the age with 20+ players, we were out to rebuild the kingdom. USS lead the kingdom forward from previous age but did annouce that he needed a break somewhere in the mid of the age. I (Capricane) took over as monarch after 2 wars when the rest was busy during this period.
A total of 6 war wins this age with us winning 3 of them. Good job to all the war co ordinator, primary Flamz and USS. But it is also the kingdom effort to get those deserve win.
First War - (5:13)
I was deleted from the game admin just before the OOP period and when I am OOP, we were halfway into the war. I vaguely remembered that we dominated them over 4k plus acres and with almost 90 attacks to 20+. Total domination.
Second War - (??:??)
No documentation of this war but I know we lost it. We basically had too little activity in this war. A first loss for the age which almost took the morale of the kingdom out.
Third War - (1:4) Prison Guards
It was an easy war to bring the activity and morale of the kingdom back. I am not much of a target chooser so I take on them despite them being bigger. They were 100k networth stronger while we had 22 players to their 17 players. Basically we destroyed their kingdom. Towards the end of the war, they had 10+ defects. We won 2k over acres while having 60 to 30 attacks.
Fourth War - (4:33) Themes are for losers
They waved us and judging from the way they took us, I took the risk to war them. A bad gamble but a good fight on both side. Activity was equal. A very long war lasting 10 days, we didn't lose too much of acres. We were winning initally (3 to 4 days) but they took us down with their long draggy war attitude. I finally gave up on the last days when our economy were no longer a match and definitely going to be a loss in the end. Loss of 100 plus acres but we lost out on co ordination.
Fifth War - (9:28) No Life without Kitchens
Without our finest warrior in their best form, this war was not ours to win. But we needed to have some form of activity to create activity. Their small super active attackers never gave up and that was what gave them the win. Activity and never say die attitude.
Sixth war - (5:15) THUNDER SNOW
Last war of this age. USS gave us the war win where we had more activity than the other kingdom. That was what gave us the win. We were 100 acres bigger in kingdom size but 100k networth smaller. After the war, we have 4k plus more acres and 500k networth stronger.
* We lost many players this age but I think this is a need to rebuild the kingdom. Some were great players which is a loss to us while some were not. There is no where to look but forward now.
Players lost: Ophiuchus; TheOneNOnly (Sherlia); Regret; Bones; Barfly; HouseofArryn; Smexy; Bestank; Forrezenia; Your Nightmare; Fanguard; Miku Hatsune ; Mr Yeh
